Sony has unveiled an exciting lineup of classic games set to join the PS Plus Classics collection for PlayStation 5 users. In the coming months, players can look forward to iconic titles such as Myst and Riven arriving in June, followed by Deus Ex, Twisted Metal 3 & 4, and Resident Evil 2 & 3 later this summer. Alongside these retro gems, Sword of the Sea will be added on August 19, while FBC: Firebreak from Remedy Entertainment is scheduled for June 17. This announcement aligns with Sony's strategy to transition its focus towards offering more PS5-exclusive content starting in January 2026.

Throughout June, PlayStation Plus subscribers will enjoy a selection of Essentials games, including NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark, and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Destiny 2: The Final Shape was also recently added on May 28. These additions highlight Sony's commitment to expanding its game library with both nostalgic favorites and contemporary hits.

Adding depth to the service, Premium and Extra members have already received Another Crab’s Treasure (May 29), Skull & Bones (June 2), and Destiny 2: Legacy Collection (June 4). Grand Theft Auto III: The Definitive Edition is slated for release on June 10. Such enhancements aim to provide diverse gaming experiences across various genres and play styles.

In light of technological advancements, Sony plans to phase out PS4 games from its monthly offerings beginning in 2026. This shift underscores the company's dedication to enhancing the PS5 gaming ecosystem, ensuring that subscribers benefit from cutting-edge features and optimized gameplay tailored specifically for next-generation consoles.

As the gaming landscape evolves, Sony continues to redefine what it means to be a part of the PlayStation community. By integrating timeless classics with innovative new releases, they cater not only to long-time fans but also to newcomers eager to explore the rich history of interactive entertainment. This strategic move ensures that the legacy of beloved franchises lives on while paving the way for future innovations in the gaming world.
