On a remarkable evening, the artistic heart of Kansas was honored as various individuals and organizations received prestigious accolades. The Governor’s Arts Awards ceremony took place at the scenic Kay McFarland Garden within the Topeka Zoo. Acknowledging the vital role that art and culture play in economic growth and community enrichment, Lieutenant Governor David Toland praised the recipients for their exceptional contributions. Among the highlights, NOTO was celebrated as the Urban Arts Community of the Year, while Clay Center earned recognition for its rural efforts.
